I recall a conversation with another visitor that morning, an orthopaedic surgeon from Melbourne. As I made my way onto a rock ledge with my camera gear, she observed my precarious position and declared with clinical detachment that should I fall, I shouldn't expect her assistance. A sobering reminder of the risks inherent in this work. As evidenced by this image, I managed to navigate the ledge successfully.
