The moment was unplanned. Recognising it — and acting on it — proved to be one of the more consequential decisions of my career. This image secured my first major commission and became the founding work of a calendar series now entering its sixth consecutive year.
It was later selected for permanent installation in a luxury apartment building in Pyrmont — where the full moon continues to rise, in silver and shadow, over the very harbour it depicts.
